Wellbeing

Your wellbeing is important to us. How can you give 100% to your clients and patients if you are not 100%? We recognise the role we play in this, so we have a dedicated member of staff as an in-house wellbeing guru! Sadly, this does not extend to yoga classes and a wine bar in the staff room (well not yet any way….). You can, however, use your CPD budget on sessions with the life coach we work with locally.
Wellbeing champions
We believe that the team can only give consistent clinical excellence to their patients, clients and team members if they are 100% okay within themselves. To avoid burn out, promote wellness and encourage a balance of work/home life, we encourage team members not to contact each other regarding work matters outside of work where possible. Lunch breaks are very important and taken by everyone consistently, with team members tagging others out if there is still a job ongoing and someone recognises that another has not had a break. We encourage staff to book regular annual leave breaking it up through the year to avoid large blocks of work without a holiday to look forward too. We listen and implement where possible rota changes to enable staff to achieve home/work balance, considering also the business needs. For example 4 day weeks, condensed hours. We are also working with a mental health ambassador that offers 'checking in sessions; for staff.

Wellbeing initiatives
One of our staff members was appointed a wellness ambassador to act as a point of contact if someone felt they needed it. Within our practice health plan staff have access to counselling. We have regular 1-2-1 monthly members with every staff member to enable a 'check- in' if needed. We have a staff appreciation board where everyone can give praise to each other .
