VIP Vet Experience 2024 at Westport Vets

It is the main prize won in the prize draw from the Linlithgow Pet Trail competition, which runs over a week in June. The Linlithgow Pet Trail take part in June - a competition like a treasure hunt, entry forms have clues to locate where pets are hiding in local business windows in Linlithgow High Street and children's locate where they are hiding and what each of the pets names are.

Isla Gault was the lucky winner of this year's VIP Vet Experience at Westport Vets Linlithgow practice.

After a VIP tour of the Linlithgow practice, Isla took part in the practical roles of a veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse, with Head Vet Stuart McMorrow and Registered Veterinary Nurse Carena.

VIP Vet Isla Gault says:

"I really enjoyed the vip vet experience. When I got there I got a tour round all the rooms and equipment. I then got to put a gown of and do a “surgery” on an dog teddy that had strawberry laces on top of it to act as intestines it was very fun especially because I got to eat some of the laces after.”

“After that we went out to the main area and I got shown how to find a dogs heartbeat and pulse on vet Stuart’s dog Bracken. There were more dog teddies that I got shown how to wrap up a paw, do an injection and how to feed an intubated dog.”

“I had an amazing time thank you Westport Vets for setting it up."
