In The Community

Here at Westport Vets we are always excited when we can get involved with community and charity events. Here’s a snapshot of our recent commitment to our community.

Head vet Stuart hosted an informative visit at our Linlithgow practice to P1 pupils from Linlithgow Bridge Primary School. Children discovered all about what happens in the clinic and were given a tour to see where the magic happens.

Unstoppable Stuart also hosted members of the Linlithgow 41 Club ( https://41club.org/ ) at the new practice in Linlithgow for a talk ‘n tour.

Stray Cat Rescue’s Easter Hamper at our Linlithgow and South Queensferry branches took place in March. The charity raised over £1500 - a new high total!

Alongside this, we have some wonderful handmade hats that are raising money for Guide Dogs!

They were made by our 2023 EPIC Award winner Rikke Hogg ( https://www.facebook.com/WestportLinlithgow/videos/1377151783192767 ). So far we’ve sold more than 34 hats (https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=933172338615975&set=pcb.933172465282629 ) and there’s still plenty more to come and collect!

In May, Team Westport dug out their running gear for the Race for Life at Hopetoun House and raised over £2000 for Cancer Research UK.

Westport Vets also collaborated with The Walk for Jock with a stall at the Linlithgow Street Fair, raising nearly £350. The Fair was a fantastic success, organised by Deacons Court (http://www.linlithgowmarches.org/) with the sounds of the Linlithgow Reed Band (https://linlithgowreedband.wordpress.com) filling the air all day long.

Being part of the community is a massive part of Westport Vets and we love hearing your stories too, especially when it contains tales (and tails) of our four legged friends. Get in touch and see where we are next ‘in the community’.
