February Update!

We’ve had another busy but exciting month here at Westport.

This month on the 21st marked our first whole year in our state of the art new practice in Linlithgow! It’s been such an incredible experience and year, and both staff and clients are thrilled with everything we’re able to offer (especially the parking!).

Carena, one of our nurses, also completed her Canine Communication Diploma at the start of the month. During the course she had to provide up-to-date studies and scientific findings, which inform us of exactly what dogs are communicating through a variety of signals, facial expressions, body movements and vocal communications. The course took Carena through the different breed body type barriers for dogs communicating with each other and the subtle signals and signs to observe for best human communications. The course also covered breed intelligence studies, evolution, socialisation, canine emotions and stress, and pain signals.

We have also started opening up a bit later on Saturday’s until 6pm to offer more support for our clients during emergency hours.

Linlithgow receptionist Hannah has been walking throughout February for Cancer Research. The challenge was to walk 100 miles throughout the month and she’s raised a wonderful £200 for the charity and also completed the walking goal!
