SVN Meg's First Caesar

Vet Natasha reported that Meg 'aced it'

Student Nurse Meg had her 1st big call-out! She assisted in delivering 6 puppies via caesarean section. Mum came in for her post-op check later in the week and was doing really well.
Our Student Nurses have a Registered Vet Nurse as back-up; Lucy on this occasion. We know that on-call can be daunting; understandably so, working under pressure when you should be asleep! Our back-up system ensures:
🐾Our patients have experienced carers.
🐾Our SVNs can build their confidence & learn from experienced nurses.
🐾Our vet can concentrate on, what is usually, complicated surgery.

While talking caesareans....
We strongly believe in having a relationship with our clients and patients. For this reason we only offer vaccination and microchiping for litters of puppies or kittens when their mum is registered with us. This includes being up to date with vaccinations.
Our on-call service is only available to registered patients too.
