It's Christmas time!

We love a Christmas Party with a twist!

Christmas time is a busy and sometimes testing time of year in practice. Even when it's challenging there is no better time to relax and have fun though!

Each year we've had a different social event but this year we feel we've hit on the right formula and had a great time getting crafty and enjoying good food. Working together is a big part of our ethos and we're incredibly lucky to have good links with other local practices too, this enabled us to book an entire day off for the whole team to attend. Many thanks to Brookfield vets for covering the on call for us, fingers crossed the phones stay quiet (!) when we return the favour later this month!

Our day began a week ago by collecting materials for wreath making, all sorts of items were presented and ever-talented Head Recpetionist Laurie led the team in fashioning beautiful structures out of findings from hedgerows and ditches! Eveyone got to muck in and make their own wreath in their own style and the results were brilliant!

A local caterer then provided a delicious hog roast to keep everyone's tummies full before we moved onto the afternoon project - Head Nurse Becky has recently completed a course in pottery and kindly provided materials and a wealth of knowledge to create Christmas tree decorations. The children involved had a great time with sharp instruments and lots of glaze to paint on to everything...

It was wonderful to see everyone having such a great time - kids ran amok and the snacks went down a treat. Everyone chipped in with the clean up and we can't wait to see how our Christmas decorations look once they've been fired in the kiln.

It was a lovely chance for everyone to catch up - we have such a diverse working rota that sometimes you don't get to see a particular individual for a few weeks, some colleagues work from home too. Just being able to get stuck in and mingle for the entire day was such a festive treat! Happy Christmas everyone!
