VNAM - Meet our amazing nursing team!

This Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month we want to share our amazing nursing team and their Greenbay story with you...

Caz - epic head veterinary nurse. Caz qualified as an RVN at Greenbay before John and Laura bought the practice in 2014. She has since studied for and passed her DipAVN and achieved a BSc. Her passions include surgical nursing, and coaching student nurses, but in all honesty she is a general allround superstar loved by clients, patients and colleagues alike.

Laura S - Laura is another colleague who has worked at Greenbay since before 2014. Initially working as a nursing assistant we were thrilled when Laura decided to pursue her nursing qualification and become an RVN. Laura's ability to communicate with clients is fantastic, and she is our nurse clinic lead. She has an interest in nutrition and starts studying for her certificate later this year.

Claire - awesome cat whisperer. Claire is an experienced RVN who has worked at Greenbay since 2015. Her passion is cats, and she is the Cat Advocate for our surgeries, which are both ISFM Cat Friendly Clinics.

Laura H - Laura joined us in 2015 as a receptionist. It soon became clear that although possessing fab customer service skills, her real passion lay elsewhere. She qualified as an RVN in 2020 and is currently studying for her certificate in animal behaviour.

Ellen - Ellen got in touch with us in 2020 looking for work alongside studying for her BSc. Although not actively recruiting at the time we wanted Ellen to join the team, and we haven't looked back! Ellen is starting her certificate in emergency and critical care later this year.

At Greenbay we like to 'grow our own' - Caz, Laura S and Laura H all trained at the practice. We currently employ three dedicated and hard working student veterinary nurses, all of whom joined us after we first met them on work experience.

Ines and Libby have their OSCEs this summer - they are set to be awesome RVNs and we wish them all the best for this final hurdle. Laurie has worked with us since 2018, initially starting out as an animal nursing assistant; it has been great to see him develop and get closer to his goal of becoming an RVN.

We are always happy to hear from RVNs or students interested in working with us - just get in touch if you think we would be a good fit for you.
