New pet wellness and rehabilitation centre opening soon!

It is fitting news for Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month that we will soon be opening a site run by our nursing team.

Since acquiring much needed additional space down the road from our Torquay practice we have been busy turning plans into reality. Our 'Pet Wellness and Rehabilition' centre at 16 Walnut Road will provide a large, light and airy nurse consultation space, along with a canine hydrotherapy treadmill suite at the front. Nursing services provided will include:

  • Pain relief, mobility, and rehabilitation led by Caz (cert holder in physiotherapy and rehabilitation) - using hydrotherapy, laser therapy, exercise management, PEMF mat and therapeutic ultrasound.
  • Nutrition clinics, led by cert holder Laura Sproul.
  • Post surgical care.
  • Pet wellness, for example 6 month health checks and older pet screening.
  • Behaviour clinics, led by cert holder Laura Holderness (when she returns from maternity leave).

It is exciting to have a space dedicated to providing services offered by our highly skilled veterinary nursing team.
